Of course I drew the magician card
while pondering
you and I
like lightning in a jar of flies
we’ve both been shocked
and razed so deeply
but we’ll bounce back
because cards don’t lie
or at least cliches are magic
I suppose
we’ll roll around another time
two fireflies entranced
at seeing light in another
